ROCK THIS
Thanks to everyone
who made ROCK THE CURE 2010 a great success!
Despite another challenging year in the world of fund raising, we were able
to donate $12,000 to the Susan G. Komen Twin Cities
Race For The Cure! That matched our donation
from the previous year, so we were delighted to be able to give that much.
Thanks to Molly Maher, Brain Leighton and the GB Leighton band. We
appreciate the generosity of all of our sponsors and attendees!

ROCK THE CURE '09
a great success!
Despite a tough time in the world of fund raising, we were able to donate
$12,000 to the Susan G. Komen Twin Cities Race For The Cure! That matched our donation from the
previous year, so we were delighted to be able to give that much. Thanks to
Michael Loonan for the Friday night sing along,
and to Concentual and the Tim Sigler Band for
bringing in the crowds on Saturday night. Evening highlights included an
exciting bidding war over the Blue Door Pub/Concentual
dinner for 30, and the live auction for a private performance from Tim
Sigler. We appreciate the generosity of all of our sponsors and attendees!
MN Thunder Breast
Cancer Awareness Night
On Sept 20th 2009, we celebrated our 2nd Annual
Breast Cancer Awareness game with the MN Thunder. The team played in pink
jerseys, and the crowd was filled with fans wearing pink Thunder tees and
jerseys from last year's auction. Thanks to the Thunder staff for their
support and enthusiasm!
Rock The Cure -

THE CURE weekend started on Friday, May 4th in the Shamrock
Room at O'Gara's with an intimate, candlelit evening of acoustic classic
rock and country, featuring Tim
Sigler of Lucky Town and the Tim Sigler Band
, brought to you by Willie's
American Guitars (www.williesguitars.com).
For a $10 donation, attendees could request a song for Tim to play; for $50,
they could get up and sing one with him!
Saturday, May 5th kicked
off with students from the St.
Paul School of Rock opening for Tina, with an hour-long set
of covers -- everything from AC/DC and Guns 'N Roses to Tom Petty and Neil
Young.
Rock The Cure - May 6, 2006
The fourth annual Rock
The Cure event was held on Saturday, May 6th at O'Gara's
Garage in St. Paul. Doors opened at 7pm, tickets were $10 in advance, $12
at the door. 100% of the night's cover charge will be donated to Blue
Jeanne Inc., to be distributed to Twin Cities
breast cancer charities.
Music began at 8pm with Nathan Anderson, a
local favorite playing both original music and well-known covers. Lucky
Town hit the stage around 9:30 for two sets of Bruce Springsteen's hits
Twin Cities, with local RnB legend Mick Sterling
join Lucky Town for a handful of the Boss' classics, giving them a soulful
twist you just had to catch.
Raffle tickets were be sold for $2 up to
the drawing. Prizes this year were:
3rd Prize: A Fender guitar autographed by tons of local musicians like Adam
Levy, GB Leighton, Tina Schlieske, Tim Mahoney,
Nathan Anderson, Mick Sterling and Tim Sigler.
2nd Prize: Airfare for 2 to any US destination in the 48 contiguous United
States on Sun Country Airlines..
1st Prize: An autographed guitar from Willie's American Guitars...check
back to see who's going to sign it this year...
The
Live Auction was again a highlight of the Rock The Cure
night. For the second year in a row, Tim Sigler generously donated a
two-hour acoustic performance (to be scheduled on a Saturday or Sunday
afternoon) at your own private party.
Tim has made a name for himself locally with his tributes to Bruce
Springsteen, but if you've ever caught one of his solo acoustic shows, you
know there's so much more to him. From Johnny Cash to Tom Petty, Bon Jovi to Neil Diamond, he can play just about anything.
Proceeds from the auction were donated to Rock The Cure. Thanks so much,
Tim!
