Rock The Cure 2008

Friday, May 2nd
A candlelit, intimate acoustic night, celebrating survivors and women going through treatment for breast cancer. Welcome to the Rock The Cure line-up to
Trick 27, an acoustic duo with 200+ songs on their request list! O'Gara's Shamrock Room, 8pm to 11pm. No cover charge, just a $20 donation to request a song, or $40 to get up and sing with Todd and Rick.

Saturday, May 3rd
Full-blown concert event, featuring
Tim Sigler's Lucky Town Band. For the Lucky Town faithful and Springsteen fans, there'll be one full set of your favorite Bruce hits, the way the band hasn't played them in over a year. Later, Tim will mix it up with classic rock and country hits to keep you dancing all night long. Opening for Lucky Town, and back by popular demand, is the Street Team from the St Paul School of Rock. They blew the crowd away last year, with a fantastic set of 80's and 90's rock covers, and are coming back to fill the dance floor and warm up the crowd. Along with a night of great music, there will be a live auction, silent auction, all new merchandise to buy, a drawing for two plane tickets, and more!

Set times:
School of Rock:    8:00 - 9:00
Luckytown:          9:30 - 10:30
Tim Sigler Band:  11:30 - Close

Live Auction
Back by popular demand, you can buy Tim Sigler! Get your friends together, then join Tim at Macaluso's Road House in St Paul for one of his Thurs night acoustic shows. Your VIP party will make up the set list; Tim's like a human juke box, and will play your requests all night long!

Silent Auction
Back by popular demand silent auction items include guitars autographed by Bon Jovi and Bret Michaels, plus a drawing to win 2 round-trip plane tickets. Must be present to win!

Sunday, May 4th
Rock The Cure is partnering with the MN Thunder soccer team, to raise awareness and money at their home games during their 2008 season. May 4th is their home opener, and
Tim Mahoney will sing the national anthem, brought to you by Rock The Cure. Look for additional Rock The Cure/MN Thunder events to be announced soon!

Merchandise
A limited number of 2008 event shirts will be available again this year, featuring an all new, fantastically cool Rock The Cure logo. For $100, you have the opportunity to buy a name for the back of the shirt, celebrating a woman who has bravely beaten breast cancer, honoring someone who fought the fight till the end, or representing a business who wants to contribute to the cause. To send in your $100 name donation in the "In Honor Of," "In Memory Of" or "Thanks To" categories, please contact me at
angie@rockthecure.org.

2006 Rock The Cure
Our 2006 ROCK THE CURE event raised thousands for Minnesota breast cancer charities, thanks to our 400+ attendees, our loyal volunteers and musicians Nathan Anderson, Springsteen Tribute band Lucky Town and special guest Mick Sterling, our annual fundraiser.

As a result of these efforts, on Sunday May 14th we presented a check for $15,000 to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation Twin Cities Race for the Cure! And there are more donations and more events in the works.
